HEALTH & SAFETY STATEMENT



Kraun’s management is committed to reducing the incident of occupational illness and injury through educating our workers in safe practices. Our workers are familiar with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations for the Construction and ICI fields. Our employees are trained to abide by the applicable legislation(s), our safety policy, and our customers’ safety policy, without exception. This is achieved through our annual health and safety training review and updates.

Kraun Electric Inc. is vitally interested in the health and safety of its employees. Kraun’s continuing objective is the protection of employees from occupational illness and injury in the workplace. We recognize the right of every employee to work in a safe and healthy environment. In fulfilling this commitment, we will provide and maintain a safe and healthy work environment indicated by acceptable industry practices and compliance with legislative requirements. We will strive to eliminate any foreseeable hazards which may result in fires, security losses, damage to property and personal injuries/illnesses. Kraun is dedicated to reducing the risk of injury and improving the health and safety of its team.

Foremen are responsible at all times for the health and safety of team members under their supervision and have the responsibility to ensure that safe and healthy work conditions are maintained in his/her assigned work area. Foremen are accountable to ensure that machinery and equipment are safe and that team members work in compliance with established safe work practices and procedures. The entire team receive training in their specific work tasks to protect their health and safety.

Every team member must protect his or her own health and safety by working in compliance with legislated requirements and with safe work practices and procedures established by this company. Every team member must carry out work in a manner so as not to create a health and safety hazard to his/her self or others. Unsafe and hazardous conditions, incidents, near misses, injuries and occupational illnesses are to be immediately reported to your supervisor or a member of the Joint Health and Safety Committee.

Kraun networks with industry partners such as the Construction Safety Association of Ontario (CSAO), Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB), Ministry of Labour, Electrical Safety Authority (ESA), OHS Canada, Canadian Standards Association (CSA) and Canadian Centre for Occupational Health Safety (CCOHS). Aided by our Health and Safety Program we strive to make safety a part of life and not merely a rule to follow.

It is Kraun’s policy to perform all work in the safest and most efficient manner possible, consistent with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations and by acceptable industry practices and recognizes that the Occupational Health and Safety Act and its Regulations are a minimum requirement for the health and safety of its team.
