We're Powered By People
Aaron started at Kraun in 2002 as a labourer and worked his way up through the company as opportunities arose. In 2018, Aaron took on the mantle of ownership and today continues to grow the company, operating out of a passion to delight customers, make a place that employees love to work, and to generally “see what is possible.” Never one to back down from a challenge, he is excited for the future of the company.
Outside of work, Aaron enjoys a variety of activities including cycling, mountain biking, hockey, and going camping with his wife and kids in beautiful places.
Kelly and her family started Kraun Electric with just eight employees in 1996. With most of the employees working in the field, Kelly was required to wear many hats (she still does!), and her roles included receptionist, project coordinator, accounting, office manager, and more! She is now Kraun’s Chief Human Resources Officer. Kelly is known for her caring and compassionate nature. Her favourite part of her job is helping people feel supported in their role by being a resource to ask questions, voice concerns, and find solutions.
Dawn joined Kraun in 2019 as the Director of Marketing with a goal of expanding Kraun’s current marketing efforts. With a dedicated person in the role, Kraun has been able to reach new markets in new ways, allowing for the company to grow. Dawn is not afraid to try new things, loves good design and has a passion for branding.
When she’s not in the office, she’s usually shuttling kids to activities, sitting on the couch knitting and drinking coffee, or cycling.
Mark joined Kraun Electric in 2005. As a Site Supervisor, Mark gained experience running jobs of various size and scope. In 2010 he became the Pre-Planning Department Manager, and also assisted with estimating. Because of Mark’s display of organization and determination, as well as his keen understanding of all aspects of an electrical project, Mark was promoted to Project Manager in 2012. He continues to enhance his skills and has been successful in managing many projects, including the FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre in St. Catharines, two 10-storey retirement residences for Schlegel Villages and Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital Redevelopment – Phase 1 in Burlington.
Chris has worked at Kraun Electric pretty much from the beginning. He started as an apprentice and now holds a Master Electrician’s license. Before he was a Project Manager, he also spent time as a Site Supervisor and Estimator.
Chris enjoys working on the smaller projects at Kraun because of the fast pace, variety of construction challenges, and the large group of customers & clients that he interacts with on a daily basis. His most recent projects have included a solar project at Mohawk College and Counterpart Brewery in Niagara Falls.
When he’s not at work, Chris tries to soak in all the family moments possible, and will take any opportunity to be in his happy place – on a mountain bike hurtling through a forest or down a mountain.
Kevin completed his electrical apprenticeship in 1993. Shortly after that, he had the opportunity to get some estimating training while still maintaining his role in the field. In 1996, he founded Kraun Electric with his father and sister. His role in the early years was split between working in field and estimating. By 1998, he was in the office full-time, mostly estimating, but also taking on some project management duties. In 2012, Kevin became the Chief Estimator at Kraun, concentrating all of his efforts in this endeavour and today, he leads a team of three fellow estimators. Kevin’s experience, attention to detail and ability to focus intently are what makes him excel in this position.
When he’s not at work, Kevin loves to visit Walt Disney World. Additionally, he is also an avid reader and a big Stephen King fan. He also enjoys watching/playing hockey and trying to convince people how great Tom Brady is.
